About the Author

Hello! And, thank you for taking an interest in me!

At the time of this writing (July 25th, 2009, 5:50pm), I am 31 years old. My son, Silas Edison is 22 months old. My husband, if you really care, is 33.  I am a wildly sexy woman who likes to blog, drink good wine and good beer and good bourbon, and loves to read.  I also like to be a mommy.

Silas, Paul (my husband), and I live just outside of Asheville, North Carolina. If you haven’t heard of Asheville, it’s a small, enchanting, gem of a city known for its friday night drum circle, its street festivals and bluegrass concerts, its “granola” street urchins, and its artists and new agers.  The beautiful little city is set right smack dab in the center of the blue ridge mountains, just off the parkway.  We absolutely love it here.  It is a constant inspiration.

For a year after Silas’s birth, I was a stay-at-home-mom and an academic tutor to a lovely group of foster teens.  Now I am back at my full time teaching gig as a middle school language arts teacher.  Aside from teaching, reading, writing, momming, and walking through the woods, I’m an improv actress with a comedy troupe known as Gag Order.   (Check us out on You Tube.) I’ve also been known to shake my tail feather on the Salsa floor.

So, that’s me.  Sort-of.  I guess.

If you really want to get to know me, and I know you do, then I guess you need to read my blog.  (Start with “Favorite Posts”.)

I think I’m a real blast and know that you will too.

So, get to it.  I hope you enjoy.
